| Sets: -Beginning of Act1 when Roxanne (Charlotte Hay) steps down from the coach, Mary Ellen would like a door that can be removed. ME said she will draw an example. -Need a brace underneath the sofa to hold in place (using sofa not chaise lounge) -Vanity and Mirror will be placed by SL door for Charlotte, should be built for Thursday, March 13 rehearsal -Ironing board will be placed SR of stairs (attached/fold down) -Black curtain SL to cover vanity mirror -2x3 screens on SL & SR to cover set/set pieces for scene changes -Bookshelf w/scripts located between “backstage and closet” doors -Barb is sketching Cryano and Private Lives backdrops, need some more info on what she needs to sketch -Nail the table down that’s between the two doors | Costumes: -A CREW member will be dressed as Cyrano, but only see their back from the orchestra pit (pg.104) -Mary Ellen checked some dresses that Charlotte, Eileen and Roz will wear. They all looked great and fit well with minor adjustments -All women except Ethel will be wearing garters and nylons -All women should have red lips and red nails -Men should have no facial hair -The Cyrano pants that rip twice each night, what are we thinking for these? Multiple pairs of the same pant? Easy to rip and stitch again? |
| Lights: -Beginning of Act1 when Roxanne (Charlotte Hay) steps down from the coach/door, ME would like a lot of fog and the door to be darkly lit. -Don’t need stair lights on steps leading up to stage | Sound/Music: -2 OR 3 telephone rings before actors answer the phone, not positive yet (see pg. 65) -Need a crash sound for when George falls back into orchestra pit (pg.104) |
| Props: -ETA on Chalkboard? which will be placed on the “ dark brown” section SR of stairs. -Rented weapons have arrived -Rehearsal shirt and coat for Howard in Act II: There is a gold brocade jacket and several shirts by rehearsal shelves. -Makeup props for vanity will be placed in two-tier basket -Howard: make sure you have a pen/pencil in your pocket with your program for Charlotte to sign -Should Roz wear an engagement ring? (Something to discuss with Mary Ellen, still undecided) - 2 copies of Vanity Fair: printed and on prop shelves -What liquid should be in Jack Daniels bottles?: Instant tea available in prop room -Letter that George writes to Roz: on prop shelf -Coffee burner is correct, Mary Ellen wants to think about the bronze pot..unsure about it. -Need a Mickey Rooney movie poster, unsure of which movie | Blocking: -Need to work on coming in and out of closet with George, Paul and Howard -George will NOT fall into the pit, he will drop to his knees and do a stunt-man “shoulder roll” into the pit. -Roz, make sure to place phone book on side table when finished with it -Paul and Roz: during make out scene on couch, when Paul says, “tell me later when you’re naked”…there needs to be more kissing/“convincing” to make Roz say “Okay”, it’s too fast right now (will discuss at next rehearsal) -Re worked some blocking for Act 2, Michelle has them written down if you have questions -George will not throw the phone at Paul, he will only drop the receiver -George will put gun in table drawer after he takes it from Howard -Charlotte, don’t take your suitcase with you when you’re approaching George about Eileen’s note |
